DVDXRipper by DVDXRipper.com comes with an electronic instruction guide and entry into the website member area. DVDXRipper walks you through the process of creating backup copies for PC and console video games and though the website provides you with several freeware products, none of them are capable of removing game copy protections.
Ease of Use:
By way of tutorial, DVDXRipper walks you through burning an image (an exact copy) of your CD that already exists on your computer to a writable disc. We found DVDXRipper's drag-and-drop controls simple and intuitive to use.
Ease of Setup:
We had no problems while installing DVDXRipper.
Feature Set:
With DVDXRipper you can burn files to a disc, but you can't create an image (an exact copy) from a disc. The software available through DVDXRipper also doesn't allow you to emulate any PC games to use in a virtual drive.
Quality of Copy:
DVDXRipper's burning process was simple.
Protection Removal:
You can't remove or emulate any game copy protections with DVDXRipper.
Help/Documentation:
DVDXRipper.com provides an electronic instruction guide, a CD burning knowledge base and a tutorial that takes you step-by-step through DVDXRipper's burning process. There is also support by email and a FAQs page available online.
Summary:
DVDXRipper is great for burning CDs and does a fairly decent job creating backup copies of PS1 and PS2 games. But beyond that, DVDXRipper.com doesn't offer much that's useful to the serious gamer.
