EasyDVDX provides you with an electronic instruction book and access to EasyDVDX.com's member's area. This product gives instructions to create backup copies for PC and console video games and access to several freeware products, including DeepBurn, CD burning software that's incapable of removing game copy protections.
Ease of Use:
EasyDVDX provides a tutorial that teaches you how to burn an image (an exact copy) of your CD. We found the drag-and-drop controls for this program easy to use.
Ease of Setup:
Installation was a snap for EasyDVDX.
Feature Set:
EasyDVDX allows you to burn files to a disc, but does have the capability to create an image (an exact copy) from a disc. You cannot emulate any games by using EasyDVDX for use in a virtual drive program.
EasyDVDX also allows you to create labels for your CDs, allowing you to personalize each CD.
If you already have an image created of your favorite PlayStation1 (PS1) and PS2 games, you can create backup copies with EasyDVDX
(Note: You must modify your PS2 console before copied games can be played on it).
Quality of Copy:
The burning process was rather easy.
Protection Removal:
EasyDVDX does not remove or emulate any game copy protections.
Help/Documentation:
Beyond the electronic instruction book, EasyDVDX.com offers a knowledge base for CD burning along with a tutorial that walks you through the burning process. There is also a FAQs page and email support available.
Summary:
Although EasyDVDX.com is an adequate CD burning product, its ability to create usable backup game copies is so limited that gamers are better off spending their money on full-blown game copy software, like our number one ranked game copy product, CloneCD.
