GameJack is simple, intuitively designed, allowing you to maneuver from one section of the program to another quickly. Due to the complex nature of game copying, a help manual is an important tool. GameJack is more difficult for game copying novices to learn because the manufacturer doesn't offer a user manual.
We had no complications while installing GameJack. But if you have version 4 of GameJack you cannot simply upgrade to version 5, you will need to buy the new product.
GameJack provides many unique bonus features, including a built-in scanner that allows you to detect which protections a game has without using third-party freeware. Another cool feature in GameJack is a label maker, which allows you to create unique labels of your backed-up game copies. The software also includes a hide ATIP feature, which allows you to run a game from your CD/DVD ROM burner.
All the game copies we made with GameJack worked without problems; we couldn't detect any differences between the original and the backup copy during game play.
GameJack made flawless, successful copies when older protections were in place, but had difficulty with some newer versions, including Safe Disk 4 and Securom 5.
While GameJack is not as popular as our top three products, there are still many Third Party Applications available to help overcome more difficult copy protections.
(Note: You must modify XBox and PS2 consoles before copied games can be played on them and XBox games also require a DVD Burner and additional software to make a working copy).
The lack of support Disc4You GmbH provides is GameJack's biggest liability. We were highly disappointed that no tutorials or manual were included with the software and there are also no links available to point you towards helpful forums.
The manufacturer offers online FAQs, fax and telephone numbers and an online form where you can submit questions from the company's homepage. There is also a discussion board link on the site, but it didn't work.
Although Disc4You GmbH's latest version of GameJack is chock-full of features and can create excellent game copies, its help support is weak. Unless you're an expert at game copying, you will probably have problems figuring out how to use GameJack.
