Ease of Use:  

Nero 9 is a great program, easy to use with intuitive icons that allow for quick navigation to its many features.

Ease of Setup:  

We didn't experience any problems while going through Nero 9's easy installation process.

Feature Set:  

Nero 9 is an excellent CD Copy program, but as far as game copy features go (such as virtual drives and customized burning settings) it needs a lot of improvement to compete within the game copying market.

Quality of Copy:  

We didn't have any problems during game play with the backup copies we were able to create with Nero 9.

Protection Removal:  

While Nero 9 is not designed to make backup copies of protected discs, it does an excellent job backing up games that use SecuRom 4.8 and lower versions for copy protection.

Help/Documentation:  

The help documentation with Nero is extensive. Every subject is broken down into individual topics that include screenshots, step-by-step instructions and an individual topic index. Nero also offers a comprehensive user guide in the SmartStart screen, in addition to user guides for each application. However, you have to download all the user guides of the internet the first time. After the software is closed and restarted they will be incorporated into the software.

Nero Customer Service isn't truly a service for customers, but a pricy extra. The Tech Support Hotline will cost you a whopping $ 1.29 a minute, so before you purchase this software you ought to be confident that you won't need any support.

Nero 9 from Ahead Software is a fine product for your CD burning needs, but when it comes to creating backup game copies, it lags far behind other game copy software available today.
